Boolean operators

Logical symbols or words (AND = &, OR = ||, NOT = !) used to connect keywords and control search results. They tell a database or search engine what to include or exclude.

AND: Narrows your search. Example : Cats AND dogs finds only items that mention both animals

OR : Broaden your search. Example : Cats OR kittens, finds items with either word.

NOT : Filters your search. Example: Cats NOT dogs, finds items about cats but removes any that also mention dogs.
