FAA Form 337

Airframe Major Repair

An operation that restores an airframe to safe condition after damage or deterioration, such as splicing skin sheets or repairing skin sheets by making additional seams.

Airframe Minor Repair

Maintenance action such as replacing a damaged engine mount or vertical stabilizer with an identical new part obtained directly from the aircraft manufacturer.

Appliance Major Repair

Major maintenance performed on aircraft appliances, including the overhaul of hydraulic pressure pumps or pressure-type carburetors.

Special Flight Permit
