What is an unconditioned reinforcer?

A stimulus change that can increase behavior without prior learning/pairing.

Examples: food, water.

What is a conditioned reinforcer?

A stimulus that acquired reinforcing effectiveness through prior pairing with other reinforcers.

What is a generalized conditioned reinforcer?

A conditioned reinforcer that has been paired with multiple reinforcers.

Is food automatically a reinforcer?

No.

A stimulus is a reinforcer based on its effect on behavior, not simply because of what the stimulus is.

Can the same stimulus be a reinforcer in one situation and not a reinforcer in another?

Yes.
