If you know ∆y and you need V0y
Vy2 = v0y2 + 2ay∆y
If you have v0y and you need time (time to the peak)
Vy = v0y+ ayt
If you have vx and ∆x or t and ∆x but you need t or vx
∆x=vxt
If you have a horizontal launch (v0y=0) and you need to get the time to fall at a given height
∆y=1/2ayt2
If you have the launch speed and angle, and you need to get the components (v0y and vx)
v0y=v0sinθ and vx=v0cosθ
if you have both components (v0y and vx), you can find the launch speed and angle?
v0=√(vx2 + v0y2) and tanθ=v0y/vx
