Series Circuit
A circuit where the components are arranged in a single path for the current to flow.
Parallel Circuit
A circuit where the components are arranged in multiple paths for the current to flow.
Resistance
The opposition to the flow of electric current in a circuit, measured in ohms.
Voltage Drop
The decrease in voltage across a component in a circuit due to the resistance of that component.
Total Resistance
The combined resistance in a circuit, calculated by adding individual resistances in series or using reciprocal values in parallel.
Current
The flow of electric charge in a circuit, measured in amperes.
Ohm's Law
The relationship between voltage, current, and resistance in a circuit, expressed as V = I * R.
Power
The rate at which electrical energy is transferred in a circuit, calculated as P = V * I.
Kilowatt
A unit of power equal to 1000 watts, commonly used to measure electricity consumption.
