God has created and called us such that we are restless apart from transcendent communion with him.

The human state resulting from God creating us for union with him in transcendent knowledge and love, which creates the 'ontological gap'.

Predicament of Moral Failure

The human state resulting from sin, which separates us from God even further and creates the 'moral gap'.
