Speed
The distance traveled by an object divided by the time it took the object to travel that distance (speed=distance÷time).
Average speed
The total distance an object travels divided by the total time traveled, showing speed for the whole trip.
Instantaneous speed
The speed of an object at a specific moment in time, such as walking slowly, walking quickly, or having a speed of zero at a complete stop.
Constant speed
Speed that remains the same or does not change, occurring as long as an object does not speed up or slow down.
Motion
The state of moving; all objects that are in this state possess speed.
