Story of Abraham and Isaac

1. The Journey

God told Abraham to leave his home.

He promised him a Holy Land.

Abraham moved to Canaan after splitting from his nephew.

2. The First Son (Ishmael)

Abraham and his wife Sarah couldn't have children.

Abraham had a son named Ishmael with the maid, Hagar.

Sarah became jealous and later made Hagar and Ishmael leave.

3. The Miracle Son (Isaac)

God promised Abraham a son with Sarah, even though she was too old.

This miracle baby was born and named Isaac.

4. The Test of Faith

God tested Abraham by asking him to sacrifice Isaac.

Abraham proved his great faith by agreeing to do it.

God stopped him at the last second and Isaac was saved.

Abraham sacrificed a lamb instead.

Moses

1. Escaping Egypt (The Exodus)

The Israelites were kept as slaves in Egypt.

God spoke to Moses through a burning bush and told him to free them.

After God sent 10 plagues, the Pharaoh let them go.

Moses led the escape by miraculously parting the Red Sea.

2. The Covenant at Mount Sinai

Moses led the people to Mount Sinai.

God called Moses to the top of the mountain to make a covenant (agreement).

This agreement confirmed that the Israelites were God's Chosen People.

3. The Law (Torah and Mitzvot)

God gave Moses the Ten Commandments on two stone tablets.

He also received the Torah, which included 613 laws (mitzvot).

In return for God's protection, the Jews promised to obey these laws.

4. The Journey to the Promised Land

Moses led the people through the desert wilderness for 40 years.

He led them toward Canaan, the Promised Land that God originally promised to Abraham.
