Messiah

Justification
This is a verdict of acquittal resulting from the forgiveness of sins and the amputation of Christ’s righteousness. This is how God declares us righteous and forgives us completely in Christ through faith apart from any merit of our own.
Sancification
This is the benefit of our union of Christ in which God through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit delivers us from our depraved natures by transforming us into the holy image of Jesus Christ through our participation through his death and resurrection.
Definitive
This type of sanctification is when believers experience an actual decisive break from the power of sin through their participation in Christ’s death.
Progressive
This type of sanctification is when believers experience the gradual continual benefits of having already been sanctified in him.
Salvation
This is the deliverance from sin and its consequences through Jesus Christ. Union with Christ.
Imputation
This is God counting Christ’s righteousness as belonging to believers. Has to do with the legal term of justification.
Penal Substitution
This is the Jesus bearing the punishment for sin in our place, satisfying God’s justice so we could be forgiven. This has to do with the legal term of justification.
Union with Christ
This is the most fundamental reality for Christians. This is the spiritual bond through which believers share in Jesus’ death, resurrection, and new life, receiving the benefits of His saving work. This is the default way of speaking of Jesus’ followers in the Bible.
Preservation
This doctrine describes that all those united to Christ will never be separated from Him, and being preserved by Him, they will persevere in the enjoyment and manifestation of the abundant blessings of salvation.
Godward
This side is associated with who is responsible for preservation.
Perseverance
This doctrine defines that those in Christ will never finally fail to endure in that salvation. It describes that believers will stand firm to the end in faith.
Manward
This side is associated with who is responsible for perseverance.
Eternal security
This is the belief that those who are truly saved will be kept by God and persevere in their faith to the end. Those united with Christ will never lose their salvation.
