Where will ester be located in the fingerprint?
~1200 or ~1000

If C=O is conjugated then where is it located and what can it be
Less than 1700; an amide, ketone or alkene
Where would aromantic rings be located?
~1500cm. Can have multiple peaks, ~1600, ~1500 or less than ~1500
Where would primary amine be located and how many peaks will it have?
~3300 and will have two peaks (two Hydrogens). NH2
Where would secondary amine be located and how many peaks will it have?
~3300. Will have one peak. (One hydrogen) NH
Where is sp3?
3000 and lower
Where is sp2?
3000 and higher
Where would OH (alcohol) be located and how would the peak look?
~3500cm with a broad and strong peak
How do you tell an alcohol peak from a carboxylic acid peak?
The alcohol peak will be strong and broad with no extra peaks while the carboxylic acid with have multiple sharp peaks
What’s located at the ~2000 - ~2400 range?
Triple bonds. Cyano/nitrile (C-N) & Alkyne C-C
