aim
short statement explaining the purpose of the experiment: To determine.... To investigate...
reliability
consistent results/the repeatability of an experiment : If all the results are close together on a map
Validity
Measures what it should, lines up with the aim : If the results are on target (think archery)
what is included in a scientific conclusion
restating the aim
stating whether the hypothesis was supported or rejected
mention specific data, measurements, trends, averages
Explain why the results happened (reasoning)
Explain errors + suggest follow up improvements
What does it mean to identify errors in a scientific discussion?
You say what the errors are, if they are human say what type it is, for example reading equipment wrong, or having poor reaction time
What is accuracy
How close a measured or experimental value is to the true, or accepted reference value
EXAMPLE:How precise the equipment used is, if it could be more precise, eg: using a 10cm ruler to measure 2cm, not using a 1m ruler
What is reliability
The consistent repeatability of an experiment, if the results are in the same area (think archery)
What is validity
Whether an experiment measures what its meant to
EXAMPLE: INVALID would be using a scale to measure people's height
