Barkhausen Criteria
The conditions under which a closed loop circuit will oscillate; Magnitude: |K(ω)/β| = 1 and Phase: ∠K(ω)/β = 0°
Open Loop Gain (A0)
The gain of an amplifier without any feedback.
Negative Feedback Path (β)
A portion of the output signal that is fed back to the input with a negative sign.
Positive Feedback Path (K(ω))
A frequency-selective path that feeds a portion of the output signal back to the input with a positive sign.
Wien-Bridge Oscillator
A type of oscillator circuit that uses a Wien bridge network to provide positive feedback and generate sinusoidal oscillations.
