What are the steps for the BVM station?

  1. PPE

  2. Check responsiveness

  3. ALS

  4. Breathing and pulse

  5. Manually open airway

  6. Prepare rigid suction catheter

  7. Turn on rigid suction catheter

  8. Insert rigid suction catheter without suction

  9. Suction the airway for no more than ten seconds

  10. Opens airway manually

  11. Insert OPA

  12. Ventilate immediately w/o oxygen until prompted

  13. Re-check pulse <10

  14. Attach BVM to oxygen 15 LPM

  15. Ventilates adequately
