NPO (nil per os)
Nothing by mouth; intake includes only transparent liquids at body temperature.
Full Liquid Diet
Includes both clear and opaque liquid foods at body temperature, such as ice cream, pudding, and fat-free milk.
Pureed Diet
Foods that require no chewing; includes all full liquid items and items like mashed potatoes.
