Nominative case

Dative case

Used for the indirect object of a sentence.

Accusative case

Used for the direct object of a sentence.

Instrumental case

Used to indicate how something is done.

Prepositional case

Used when a noun describes a static location, the topic of thought or speech, or certain expressions of time
