A committee that resolves differences in both versions of a bill before being sent to the President.
Filibuster
A tactic that may be used to delay the voting of a bill.
Presidential Veto
An action where a bill is vetoed by the President and goes back to Congress.
Congressional Veto Override
An action where Congress may override a presidential veto with a 2/3 vote.
House Committee Review
A step in the legislative process where a bill goes to a House committee for review.
Senate Committee Review
A step in the legislative process where a bill goes to a Senate committee for review.
