Upper part of body
The region of the human body categorized under the Yang aspect.
Lower part of body
The region of the human body categorized under the Yin aspect.
Exterior (Yang aspect)
The structural aspect encompassing the outsides, lateral aspects, Fu organs, and Yang meridians.
Interior (Yin aspect)
The structural aspect encompassing the insides, medial aspects, Zang organs, and Yin meridians.
Fu organs
Organs categorized under the Yang aspect, which include the gallbladder, small intestine, stomach, large intestine, and bladder.
Zang organs
Organs categorized under the Yin aspect, which include the liver, heart, and spleen.
Pathological changes
Changes resulting from a loss of relative balance of yin and yang, leading to excess or deficiency and causing disease.
Occurrence of disease
Pathological event related to both antipathogenic qi and pathogenic factors.
Yin (Pathology)
The aspect associated with cold in the context of disease causes.
Yang (Pathology)
The aspect associated with heat in the context of disease causes.
