Vocabulary flashcards covering the anatomy of the human eye, types of lenses, and light reflection from the Lesson Check Study Guide.
Retina
The structure located at the back of the human eye where light focused through the lens lands, which sends signals to the brain to be interpreted as images.
Concave lens
A lens that is thinner in the middle and always makes objects look smaller.
Convex lens
A type of lens found in a magnifying glass that causes an image to appear bigger up close.
Cornea
The structure of the eye through which light enters.
Light transmission through a clear plastic bag
Allows more objects to be seen in a dark room than through a brown paper bag because more light is reflected into the eyes.
