Western, Educated, Industrialized, Rich, Democratic

• People tend to come from these groups, unconscious bias. Results don’t always apply to the minority.

• Conceptions tend to be built more around Western Societal Studies

Self-Selection

• Ppl choose what studies to participate in depending on personal interest

Statistical Consideration

• Descriptive Stats - Describe Data

  • Ex. Mean (Avg of Data), Median (Mid of Data), Mode (Commonly occurring datapoint.)

Inferential Statistics

• Determine if there is a significant difference between our groups

  • Ex. T-Test, F-Stat, P-Value (0.05)

    • T-Test: Comparing 2 groups

    • F-Stat: Comparing more than 2 groups

    • P-Value: Differences between groups. 5% that differences are due to chance. If >5% then not due to chance

Correlation Strength

• From -1 to 1

• Further from Zero = Stronger Correlation

• Sign tells u the direction of the correlation.
