Tiny air sacs at the end of bronchioles where gas exchange happens

Bronchiole

Tiny branch of air tubes in the lungs

Bronchus

Tubes leading from the trachea to the lungs

Diaphragm

Muscular sheet separating the thorax from the abdomen. Involved in breathing

Exchange surface for respiration

Rib

Protect lungs and heart, expand and contract to allow breathing

Intercostal Muscle

Antagonistic muscles lying between ribs.
