Pledge Rules

Rule 1

Know all of the pledge rules.

Rule 2

Prepare and keep your quick reference study guide as instructed.  Your guide is your responsibility at all times.  It should never leave your possession.  In the front of the guides, as instructed, there will be places for each member’s name, major, and home town.  

Rule 3

Conduct interviews with each other in order to get to know each other.

Rule 4

Learn all materials as instructed by the pledge master (Expansion Manager).

Rule 5

It is recommended you keep on your person at all times: Your guide, a functional black pen, and any additional items of value to a man who is prepared for all circumstances.

Rule 6

At all times you will show proper respect to all members.  Never argue with or lie to any member.  If you have any complaints about a member, you can bring them up with your pledge master with no penalties.

Rule 7

Obey any instructions, other than personal favors, given to you by a member. The member is responsible for said instruction.

Rule 8

Check your email daily.  You are responsible for all notices and communication.

Rule 9

Introduce yourself to anyone whom you do not know.  If they are a brother, greet him properly.

Rule 10

You will be required to attend mandatory study tables.  The colony pledge master will notify you as to what day and time you will attend.  Also, you will be required to report all test, quiz and project grades to the colony at each colony meeting.

Rule 11

Maintain a neat appearance at all times.

Rule 12

Wear your pledge pin in the prescribed manner

Rule 13

You must attend all colony functions and meetings except when excused by the colony chief engineer (president).

Rule 14

If a brother walks into the room, all pledges present are expected to greet the brother in a professional manner.

Rule 15

Always conduct yourself as a gentleman.

Rule 16

Attend all your classes.

Rule 17

Help with recruitment and social events as required by the social chairman and recruitment chairman.
