Solid Solvent with Solid Solute
A solution type where both the solvent and solute are solids; examples include Alloys and Stones.
Solid Solvent with Liquid Solute
A solution type where the solvent is a solid and the solute is a liquid; examples include Hydrated Salts like CuSO4.5H2O.
Solid Solvent with Gas Solute
A solution type where the solvent is a solid and the solute is a gas; an example is Gases in minerals.
Liquid Solvent with Solid Solute
A solution type where the solvent is a liquid and the solute is a solid; an example is Sugar in H2O.
Liquid Solvent with Liquid Solute
A solution type where both the solvent and solute are liquids; an example is Alcohols in H2O.
Liquid Solvent with Gas Solute
A solution type where the solvent is a liquid and the solute is a gas; examples include Cold drinks or Carbonated water.
Gas Solvent with Solid Solute
A solution type where the solvent is a gas and the solute is a solid; an example is I2.
Gas Solvent with Liquid Solute
A solution type where the solvent is a gas and the solute is a liquid; examples include Steam or water vapors.
Gas Solvent with Gas Solute
A solution type where both the solvent and solute are gases; an example is Air.
