Tree Diagram
A branching diagram used to model and display all possible outcomes of a compound event, shown on the worksheet for a coin flip (H or T) followed by spinning a spinner (B, G, or Y).
Sample Space
The set of all possible outcomes of a probability experiment, listed on the worksheet as {HB,HG,HY,TB,TG,TY}.
Venn Diagram
A diagram that uses overlapping circles to illustrate relationships and commonalities between different sets or categories of data, such as "Students' Preferred Color".
Intersection
The shared overlapping region of two or more sets in a Venn diagram representing elements or outcomes that belong simultaneously to all of those sets.
Probability
The numerical likelihood of an event occurring, determined on the worksheet by comparing the number of favorable outcomes to the total number of possible outcomes (such as out of 6 for the tree diagram or out of 30 for the Venn diagram).
