Double Circulatory System
A closed circulatory system found in mammals. blood passes through the heart wise during each complete circuit of the body
Single Circulatory System
A closed circulatory system found in fish. blood passes through the heart only once per complete circuit of the body
Open Circulatory System
A circulatory system found in insects where blood is not always held in vessels and body movements help with the movement of blood.
Closed Circulatory System
A circulatory system that is more efficient than an open system and allows rapid delivery of oxygen and nutrients under higher pressure. blood is completely contained contained within Continuous loop of blood vessels
Effective Transport System
A transport system that has a pump to create pressure and a fluid or medium to carry nutrients, oxygen, and wastes around the body.
Haemolymph
A fluid in insects that is the equivalent of blood and directly bathes the tissues and cells and flows freeely
Tissue Fluid
A separate fluid in organisms with a closed circulatory system that bathes the cells.
