Type IV
Delayed / T-Cell ➔ 24-72 hour response ➔ Contact Dermatitis, PPD test

Excess antigens cause immune complexes to form in the blood, lodge in small blood vessels, and trigger inflammation.
Type 3 (Immunocomplex Reaction) Examples
RA, SLE
Type 4 (Delayed Hypersensitivity Reaction)

induration, ischemia, and tissue
damage to occur at site of
exposure
Type 4 (Delayed Hypersensitivity Reaction) Examples
