    • Conflict involving religious violence. This resulted in states gaining more religious freedom and the influence of the church declining.

  2. Revolutions in Effect

    • The Scientific Revolution and the Enlightenment Movement began, leading to contrasting beliefs between common sense, scientific discovery, and religious belief.

  3. The English Civil War

    • This resulted in the execution of Charles I of England, the abolishment of the monarchy, and Oliver Cromwell becoming ruler.


Asian Developments & Events

  1. Mughals Take Control over Mass-Territory

  2. The Taj Mahal was Built

  3. Aurangzeb Took the Throne

    • His non-tolerance of other religions set India and surrounding territories into chaos.

  4. 1644 - Qing (Manchu) Dynasty Begins

    • Despite still wanting to isolate, Europe opened them up with promises of silver.

  1. Transatlantic Slave Trade

    • Challenges social standards, and causes many to die of starvation, disease, and abuse. Guns may have been proliferated, but many resorted to the more negative and violent side of them.
