Pull Factor- a condition that attracts to move to a new area
Acculturation- process of holding on to old traditions while adapting to a new culture
Immigrant- a person who enters another country in order to settle there
Muckraker- a journalist who exposed corruption and bad buisness practices in the late 1800s and early 1900s
Monopoly- a company or group having control of all or nearly all of the business of an industry
Progressive- An early 20th century reform movement seeking to return control of the government to the people, to restore economic opportunities, and correct injustices in American life.
