Itinerant Preachers: preachers who move around from place to place
Burned Over District: area where people were so enthusiastic about the church that there was no one to convert
Social Reform: everyone should be involved in trying to help others
The Temperance Movement: movement by the American Temperance Society that pushed to have alcohol banned in the United States, about 5 million people got on board and signed a temperance pledge.
Sabbatarianism: since Sabbath is a holy day then people shouldn’t work on Sundays, so people boycotted businesses on Sundays and even kidnapped a postal worker.
