Conjunctions
Coordinating Conjunctions:
FANBOYS (connecting ICs and S / V / O) Ex. For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So
Subordinating Conjunctions(SC):
Ex. As, After, Although, While, When, Whenever, Unless, Until, Before, Because, If, Since.
Irregular Ex. Even, That, Which, Once *Not Always
Clauses
Independent Clauses:
Subject and Verb. Ex. It rained. He cooked a delicious dinner and cleaned the house.
Dependent Clauses:
SC, DC, IC
Punctuation: DC, IC, ICDC
When a sentence starts with a DC, there is a comma.
There is no comma when a DC is in the middle or end
Ex. Whenever, I was away.. (No Comma)
Sentence Types

Simple Sentence - one Independent clause
Compound Sentence - two Independent clauses
Complex Sentence - one Independent clause, (atleast) one Dependent clause
Compound-Complex - two Independent clauses, (atleast) one Dependent clause
