Turn the strobe light of the ripple tank on.

Alter the frequency of the strobe light until the wave pattern appears to stop moving.

Measure the distance between the lines that are 10 wavelengths apart and then divide it by 10 to find the length of one wave.

Use the equation wavespeed = frequency x wavelength to figure out the wavespeed.
