Second campus

  • 7701 Florissant road, Normandy, Missouri (1936-1973)

  • Located on the West side of the township of Normandy, a suburb of St Louis

  • All students, teachers, and administrators live on campus

  • Self sufficient “town” or 17 acres

    • Had stores, bars, the campus and housing

    • Railroad trestle next to campus

    • Had its own fire trucks

    • This way no one had to leave the campus

  • Had trailers for married students with their children’s to live in

  • Single females had their own cabins

Third and current campus

  • 430 (1851) Schoettler Road, Chesterfield, Missouri (1973- today)

  • Was originally considered “way out” in the western edge, 26 miles form the Normandy campus

  • Used to be the Maryknoll Junior Seminary

    • Closed in 1960’s due to lack of students

  • Coggins administration bought this campus for $1.8 million

    • 93,000 sq ft. Building and 103 acres

  • Original address was 430, metropolitan of the St Louis area was upgrade to 1851

  • Had a chapel, Montgomery was the first one to get married in it

  • Used to be a cave, and students got stuck in it

    • They dug it up and filled it with cement to build the Purer Center on top of where the cave was

  • This currently wing was just multiple small bedrooms (156A and B classrooms)

  • Student Center was an auditorium that played movies for students

  • There was a dress code before Logan moved to this campus

    • This campus had no air conditioning, so he students refused the dress code because it was too hot

    • They were supposed to go back to the dress code after the air conditioning was put in

    • A/C was put in when the Clinic was built

    • They didn’t go back to the dress code

  • 3rd floor was all administrators

  • Montgomery clinic is named after Dr Montgomery’s Father who passed away a few years before it was built

1st emblem had a tennis player and someone lying in bed sick

2ns emblem was very basic

3rd emblem was a flag with the school’s name

4th logo was on graduation rings, had 3 spines on it

5th was Logan basic

6th was “lamp of knowledge”
