• It is announced that Eva Smith changed her name to Daisy Renton

• Sheila privately interrogates Gerald

Act 2:

• Gerald is questioned

• Mrs Birling is questioned

• Mrs Birling blames Eva’s death on her child’s father

• Eric enters

Act 3:

• Eric figures out that they have realised that her is the father of Eva’s child

• Eric admits what happened

• Inspector does his speech and leaves

• Gerald comes back and tells everyone that it was a hoax

• Mr Birling calls the infirmary to clarify that it was a hoax

• It is a hoax

• The phone rings and it is the police

• Play abruptly ends
