Functions of Brain
Function: Responsible for higher brain functions such as thought, action, and coordination of movement.
Structure: Divided into two hemispheres (left and right) and four lobes:
Frontal Lobe:
Involved in reasoning, planning, problem-solving, emotions, and voluntary movement.
Parietal Lobe:
Processes sensory information related to touch, temperature, pain, and spatial orientation.
Temporal Lobe:
Involved in processing auditory information and is important for memory and emotion.
Occipital Lobe:
Responsible for visual processing.
Function: Important for coordination, balance, and fine motor control.
Role: Ensures smooth and voluntary movements by integrating sensory input and motor commands, helps maintain posture and equilibrium.
