As one of the wealthiest people in the world, Mukesh Ambani and his family have access to some of the world’s most expensive items.

This includes a vast array of cars.

Ambani is known for his car collection and at his Mumbai home, named Antilia, there is a multi-storey garage.

The huge garage is almost like a car park, with around 168 lavish sedans and supercars that belong to the Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman.

In many cases, Ambani’s cars have been customised, meaning that they cost even more than their original price.

However, money is not a problem, especially when he has a net worth of £60 billion.

We look at 10 lavish cars that Mukesh Ambani owns.

Maybach 62

One car that stands out in Mukesh Ambani’s vast collection is the Maybach 62.

Ambani was the first Indian to buy the luxury car.

What makes this car one of the most memorable in his collection is that the Maybach 62 was a birthday present for his wife Nita.

It has a 5.5-litre V12 engine with twin turbochargers. The result is 570bhp and the car goes from 0 to 62mph in 5.4 seconds and has a top speed of 155mph.

As it is Ambani, he had it customised to make the already exclusive Maybach even more unique.

He had TV screens installed with the intention of them being used for conferences. In addition, he had the car designed to be bullet and bombproof.

This means it did not come cheap. The Maybach 62 cost Ambani approximately £780,000.

His Maybach is one of Ambani’s most extravagant cars due to it being bulletproof and being the first in India.

BMW 760i

The BMW 760i is said to be Ambani’s most expensive car due to the exclusive modifications.

The car was specially designed in Germany and has been exclusively customised to render the highest form of security.

Ambani’s BMW is bulletproof with armour on the chassis as well as the windows. It is also equipped with Z-category security detailing.

All this makes the BMW 760i Ambani’s priciest car. The base cost for one of these is around £230,000 and the armoured edition is worth £1.1 million.

That was not his full bill as he had to pay an extra £196,000 to register the car in Mumbai since the registration fee on armoured cars is higher.

According to reports, this is the highest registration fee paid by anyone in India.

The total for the armoured BMW 760i is £1.3 million. It may be expensive but Ambani spares no expense when it comes to travelling in luxury or safety.

Bentley Bentayga

The Bentley Bentayga is the first-ever SUV to be made by the British carmaker.

At one point, it was even the world’s fastest SUV.

It has a W12 engine that is capable of producing 600bhp and has a top speed of 190mph.

Mukesh Ambani is said to own three of these vehicles.

One is brown while the second is green. One is powered by the W12 engine while the other has a V8 engine.

The third Bentayga was reportedly purchased in 2021 and is the newer model, which has minor appearance changes.

Unsurprisingly, they do not come cheap, coming around the £290,000 mark.

BMW i8

Inside Ambani’s garage is a matte black BMW i8.

The hybrid car comes with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and an electric motor. Together, it generates 357bhp.

The i8 is regarded as one of the most fuel-efficient and futuristic cars on the market.

Ambani’s BMW i8 and garage were briefly seen in Netflix’s mini-series Cricket Fever: Mumbai Indians.

The show followed the IPL team throughout their tournament but some eagle-eyed viewers caught a glimpse of the billionaire’s garage.

The part comes when members of the Mumbai Indians visit Antilia.

Some players go on a treasure hunt as part of a team-building exercise.

Their search leads them to the garage and players are seen gazing into the BMW i8 instead of taking part in the exercise.

Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge

In February 2021, Mukesh Ambani purchased one of India’s most expensive SUVs, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge.

The purchase took Ambani’s total number of Cullinans to four.

However, this one is more exclusive.

It is the Black Badge edition and car enthusiasts can tell from the all-black grille.

It is also one of the most expensive. Buying the car without any additional extras is around 20% more expensive than the regular version, which is around £252,000.

But with optional extras and importation, it will set you back around £960,000.

This makes it one of Ambani’s most expensive cars, but one of the most exclusive.

Tesla Model S 100D

Because of his immense wealth, Mukesh Ambani can easily buy most cars without any issue.

Therefore, it is no surprise that he became one of the first people in India to buy a Tesla Model S 100D.

He purchased the electric car in 2018 and it comes with a 100kWh battery, along with a fast charger.

The Tesla also goes from 0-62mph in just 4.3 seconds.

This means that it can travel 245 miles in just 42 minutes. On a full charge, it can go 307 miles.

It is a sophisticated car that is ideal for a business tycoon but it comes with a hefty price tag.

Typically, this Tesla would cost around £75,000. But as the car has been imported, the price increases to £145,000.

Ferrari 812 Superfast

It is not just luxury sedans and SUVs that Mukesh Ambani opts for.

He is also a fan of supercars and this Ferrari 812 Superfast is evidence of that. However, it is a car that is rarely seen outside the Ambani garage.

The 812 Superfast was launched in India in 2018 and at the time, it was considered to be the most powerful naturally aspirated car to be made.

It is powered by a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine that generates 789bhp.

This allows it to go from 0-62mph in just 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of 211mph.

It also comes with a plethora of features, including ‘Side Slip Control’ that allows the car to slide into corners while ensuring that the driver does not lose control of the car.

So it is no surprise that it does not come cheap, setting the billionaire back around £530,000.

Mercedes-AMG G63

Another SUV in Mukesh Ambani’s car collection is the Mercedes-AMG G63, commonly known as a G-Wagen.

This powerful SUV boasts a 5.5-litre V8 engine that produces 563bhp and has a top speed of 130mph.

Features include a 7-speed automatic transmission and AMG ride control sports suspension.

More unique features include temperature-controlled cup holders and a panoramic sliding sunroof.

In 2021, Ambani purchased more G-Wagens in a bid to upgrade his security.

For his convoy, he bought four new vehicles, spending around £240,000 on each one.

This shows that Ambani spares no expense when it comes to boosting his security.

Rolls-Royce Phantom

The Phantom has always been Rolls-Royce’s flagship model and it is renowned for its luxury.

So it is no surprise that the car resides in Mukesh Ambani’s garage.

He owns numerous versions of the Phantom, including the Drophead Coupe.

Like other luxury sedans, the Phantom comes in SWB and EWB.

The Phantom is known for its sophisticated interiors and the eighth generation is no different.

It now has LED projector headlights as well as a larger grille.

It may be powered by a 6.75-litre V12 engine but Rolls-Royce claims it is one of the quietest cars in the world.

As it is laced with luxury, it is very expensive, costing around £1.2 million in India.

Lamborghini Urus

The Lamborghini Urus combines power and luxury and is part of Ambani’s garage.

In India, the car costs around £350,000 and is said to be the fastest SUV in the world.

It contains a powerful 4-litre, V8 twin-turbo engine; the first for a vehicle designed by the Italian company.

This allows the powerful car to reach 0-62mph in just 3.6 seconds.

It goes on to reach a top speed of 190mph, very impressive for a big car. The twin turbos also produce 641bhp.

This means that Ambani and other owners can go fast but still maintain control.

It may be one of Ambani’s bolder car choices but it will guarantee to turn heads wherever he goes in it.

When it comes to a lavish collection of cars, few live up to Mukesh Ambani’s.

While some are built solely for high performance, others are more about luxury.

One thing for certain is Ambani’s love for cars comes at a price as all of them are very expensive.

However, his wealth allows him access to buy some of the world’s most exclusive cars.

Although he has well over 100 cars, expect his collection to grow even more, especially because his garage still has so much space.
