IGETC Certification Requirements

  • Two classes needed for IGETC certification:

    • Communications (missing class)

    • Biology Lab (recommended class)

  • Section 3C is the communications section; options include three different communication classes.

  • Take whichever communication class is available; focus on the need for one class only.

Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUI)

  • WUI: Stands for Western Undergraduate Exchange.

  • Number of Participating Schools: Over 70 public two-year and four-year colleges.

  • Benefits: Reduces out-of-state tuition to no more than 150% of in-state tuition.

    • Example: If in-state tuition is $10,000, out-of-state cannot exceed $15,000.

Occupational Handbook Assignment

  • Students need to identify the occupation used for the assignment and specify required education levels:

    • Example Occupations:

      • Computer Science: Bachelor's degree

      • Teaching: Various degrees dependent on the specific teaching role.

Email Communication

  • BBC Email structure requires students to know their own.

  • Important to use BBC email for communication with professors for better reliability.

College Classes Outside Early College Program

  • Yes, students can take classes outside of early college.

  • Unit Limits:

    • Fall: Up to 11 units.

    • Winter: Up to 6 units.

  • Take caution with unit limits when already enrolled in classes.

Associate's Degree Requirements

  • A total of 60 units are needed for the Associate's degree.
