练习 liànxí - to practice
得 - děi must, have to
得 de - used between a verb and
写字 xiě zì - to write character
有时候 yǒu shí hòu - sometimes
慢 màn - slow
快 kuài - fast
难 nán - hard
容易 róng yì - easy
有意思 yǒu yì si - interesting
怎么 zěn me - how
帮 bāng - to help

Grammar
得 (děi) have to, need to
得 + Verb means have to do something even the person is not 100% willing to. The negation is 不用 不用 means “not necessary, no need to do.”
我明天得去打工,可是我今天不用去打工。Wǒ míngtiān děi qù dǎgōng, kěshì wǒ jīntiān búyòng qù dǎgōng.
我明天得回家做饭,可是我今天不用回家做饭。Wǒ míngtiān děi huíjiā zuòfàn, kěshì wǒ jīntiān búyòng huíjiā zuòfàn.
Degree of Complement Sentences
得(de) is used in between a Verb and an adv/ adj to describe how the action is performed. Sentence pattern for the degree of an action is performed are as follows:
Subject + Verb 得 adv + adj.
你的中文说得很好。Nǐde zhōngwén shuō de hěn hǎo.
我的英文说得不太好。Wǒde yīngwén shuō de bú tài hǎo.
你的英文进步得很快。Nǐde yīngwén jìnbù de hěnkuài.
Subject + Verb Objective (V.O.) + Verb 得 adv + adj
他开车开得很快。Tā kāichē kāi de hěn kuài.
他吃饭吃得很慢 。Tā chīfàn chī de hěn màn.
我妈妈做饭做得很好。Wǒ māma zuò fàn zuò de hěn hǎo.
怎么 + Verb is used to ask how to do something.
你怎么练习中文? Nǐ zěnme liànxí zhōngwén?
你怎么去学校? Nǐ zěnme qù xuéxiào?
你怎么做中国菜? Nǐ zěnme zuò zhōngguó cài?
