Knowt Deck: Levantine Arabic Texting

1. Basic confirmations / “sure” phrases

  • كويس (kwēys) → okay / sure (neutral, indifferent)

  • أكيد (ʾakīd) → sure / of course / definitely

  • تمام (tamām) → alright / okay / sounds good

  • مش مهم (mish muhimm) → doesn’t matter / whatever works

  • عادي (ʿādī) → casual “fine / whatever”

  • دنيا هنية (dunyā hanīye) → playful “whatever works / chill”

  • على راحتك (ʿalā rāḥtak) → your call / whatever you like

Example sentences:

  • تمام، بناسبني، خلينا نروح هنيك. → Okay, that works, let’s go there

  • مش مهم، أي نوع بيتزا تمام. → Doesn’t matter, any pizza is fine

2. Common “we” verbs (present tense)
