- atypical is not weird or bad or dysfunctional, just uncommon
- A sexual interest in anything other than a consenting human partner

- Frotteurism: rub genitals against ppl without consent

- If a behaviour is too deviant it will be criminalised or labeled as a disorder
- Regulated by society
- When is it a disorder? Three criterias:
- Marked distress associted wtih arousal
- The person has acted on the arousal pattern towards unwilling others or other unable to give consent
- Serious risk of injury or of death
- Four D's of abnormal behaviour
1. Deviant
- Prelevent? Safe? Legal? Stigmatised ++++
2. Dysfunctional --> cause impairment
3. Distress (emotional)
4. Dangerous to self or others
