What is Marketing?
Marketing is the process of getting people interested in your products or services. It involves understanding what your audience wants, creating value for them, and building long-term relationships.  Marketing is the process of promoting, selling, and distributing products or services to meet consumer needs profitably.

The goal is to encourage profitable customer actions, like making a purchase. To satisfy customer needs while achieving business objectives.

Marketing includes strategies and tactics that help businesses:

  • Create brand awareness

  • Attract potential customers (leads)

  • Turn leads into customers

  • Build loyalty for repeat business

  • Increase revenue

Marketing plays a role throughout the entire product or service lifecycle. Here’s how it works:

  1. A company starts with an idea for a product or service.

  2. They research the market to see if the idea is viable.

  3. Once the product is created, it’s time to promote it.

This is where marketing comes in. Marketers:

  • Research the target audience.

  • Create a strategy and messaging to highlight the product’s value.

  • Decide where and how to reach the audience.

  • Plan steps to guide the audience toward making a purchase.

  • Use different tactics and channels to deliver their message.

  • Measure results to see what works and what doesn’t.
