Romans 2

Those who judge are held to a higher standard

1. One who judges and yet does the same is condemned

2. God’s judgment is the truth

3. Don’t think that just because you judge others, that you will escape God’s judgment

   1. Get off ur high horse

4. An act of superiority that denies the treasures from God that come with his command to repent

5. A hard and unapologetic heart readies itself for the day of wrath and judgment from God

Everyone falls short in the eyes of God

1. He will render everyone to their deeds, which will never live up to holy standards

2. Those who patiently and continuously seek to be good and obey God will gain eternal life

3. But those who are self-seeking and ignore the truth, Jew or Greek, will be met with God’s wrath

God is not Partial

1. There is no bias or favoritism

2. Those who sin without care for the law will die without care for the law

3. Those who sinned in the law will be judged in the law

4. It does not matter if you know or heard the law, only if you obey it.

5. A religious person may think they’re safe because they know the law, but the more important question is: have they kept it?

6. The Greek who does not know the law yet follows it as it is written on his heart. Their conscience acts as their judge and they will be judged the same.

   1. When Jesus comes to judge the world

Do not be Prideful just because you are Jewish

1. They boast about being with God and knowing his laws, confident that they are lights to guide the blind

2. Practice what you preach! Don’t teach one thing then turn around and do the opposite

3. A reminder that the failure of the Jews to obey God is why the gentiles blasphemed God.

Circumcision

1. Yes, it is important and a law of God

2. But if you break the law, then what’s the point?

3. Even an uncircumcised man, if he obeys God’s laws, will have the right to judge the circumcised law-breaker.

4. It is not enough to be a follower physically, but more important to be one spiritually in your heart

5. This is who will receive praise from the Lord
