Nazi ideology

  • Nazi was a nationalist ideology concerned with Germany and German nationality

  • abolishing the treaty of versailles

  • employment and security for German people (national self sufficiency - concept known as Autarky)

  • Nazi state rejected diplomaxy and all efforts at collective security and internationalism (ideology practiced by league of nations)

  • Germany was in danger from broth communists and Jews and his beliefs that the pure Aryan race was supposedly superior to all other races (especially slavs and jews were considered subhumans)

  • living space for German race involved occupying east of Europe at expense of lower races

  • War and expansion therefore were central tenets of Nazi ideology

  • volkgemeinschaft was all Germans should unite and work together to reduce differences in class, wealth and standards of living.
