1902 DD suddenly leaves Davenport to move to Pasadena,, CA. BJ took over the school

DD moved to Santa Barbara in 1903, opened a new school. “Discovered” that “the body is heated by nerves and not by blood”.
Spine is hot, some parts are hotter, like the Atlanta-Occipital joint. Areas with less nerves are cooler, like the Sacrum.
Minora Paxson is the 6th woman in Chiro. Eventually became the leader for women’s health in Chiro
When DD returned to Davenport, he and BJ agreed on the 2nd theory of Chiro, that the body is “heated by nerves and not by blood”. So Old Dad Chiro was solely interested in Osseous pressure on nerves. Adopted the term “subluxation”

BJ returned Palmer school to financial viability with help from a local businessman, Howard Nutting (Willard Carver’s uncle). Howard was the richest man in Davenport. He would give BJ advice.

Langworthy never got sued because he sated “natured cured the disease”

North Dakota first state to allow Chiropractors to hold License 1914
Langworthy started to extend schooling that was 6 months, eventually a year
Langworthy gave no credit to DD, and called him a Naprivate
Dr Howard opened National School in the same building DD adjusted his first patient in Davenport, before moving the school to Chicago
DD was arrested for practicing medicine without a license in 1906. He didn’t have a lawyer, and was sent to jail.
after 23 days, DD paid his fine, and leading to problems with BJ.
