  • Although Jerusalem and Babylon are real places, they’re also depicted as idealistic concepts

• Waters of Babylon

  • the rivers in the water represent desirable things- they aren’t necessarily bad, but they represent things that can only be practiced on Earth ex. animal husbandry

• Babylonians - are demons

• Willow trees

  • greedy, covetous people

• Little ones of Babylon - evil desires at their birth; God gives ourselves knowledge later

• Earth - Demons, Christians, Greed, Desirable things, Edomites

• dash against the rock and put Christ over sin

• greed, lust, pride, anger, revenge
