Female sexual pain disorders

- Etiology

- DSM4: Lifelong or primary vaginismus

- Inability to have sexual intercourse despite the wish and attempts to do so. A somatic cayse has to be excluded

- Biopsychosocial factors

- Psychosexual : anxiety, sexual abuse, etc

- Bio-medical: hormonal, pelvic floor muscles

- Cogntinve/emotional : fear, disgust, avoidance

- Interpersonal : intimacy, emotional expression
