Seeking God
Like a deer pants for water so does the soul pant for the Lord
His soul thirsts for God and he asks when he will appear
Saying his tears have been his meal while they wonder where God is
The psalmists reminisces when he would go with others to the holy place with joy and praise for the Lord
Uplifting his own Soul
He asks his heart why it is downcast and disquieted
He knows God will come through for him time and time again
He will continue to praise and ask for help
Asking the Lord
Admits that his soul is down
Yet he remembers God from Jordan and Mizar hill
He feels trapped under the weight of a waterfall
He is buried beneath the Lord’s waves
He trusts God to share his lovingkindness with him during the day and his song at night
He admits he has questioned God due to his discouraging circumstances
Even his enemies will ask where God is
But he reminds himself he has hope. He will continue to praise God, the health of his countenance. Having full faith the Lord will guide him.
