National Service Training Program(NSTP) Act of 2001 - is an act establishing the NSTP for tertiary level students, amending for the purpose of the RA 7077 and for other purposes. Refers to the program aimed at enhancing civic consciousness and defense preparedness in the youth, by developing the ethics of service and patriotism while undergoing training in any of the three(3)Program components, specifically designed to enhance the youth’s active contribution to the general welfare

AT HOME Students are expected to - Respect each other’s religions and beliefs; Good Manners and Right Conduct; Help with Household Chores; Treat People and their property with Respect Practice Proper Hygiene

AT SCHOOL Students are expected to - All students are required to Attend and Respect the Flag Raising Ceremony every Tuesday; Students are REQUIRED to Attend and actively participate in every Class, Programs, Activities and Trainings; NSTP students are required to practice proper behavior inside and outside the campus premises; Always greet and pay respect to all Key Officials, Faculty, Staff and Personnel's; ALL NSTP STUDENTS are required to wear the proper or designated uniform.

AT COMMUNITY Students are expected to - Students should help our waste management by doing3R’S(Reduce, Re-use and Recycle); Participate or attend outreach program conducted by the NSTP Office or any Volunteer Group; Students are encouraged to join Volunteer works; By having healthy community, Students should learn the importance of Environmental Protection Maintaining a Community Garden Participate in Local and National Elections

AT DISASTER Students are expected to - All NSTP students, regardless of what course are encouraged to join volunteer groups and Rescue Teams; Students are expected to have Basic Survival Training conducted by the University for the welfare of their families and other people; Become familiar for emergency hotlines for emergency information regarding closest evacuation routes and access to water, food and shelter as well as information on other health and human services available across the (city or state); Assemble a disaster supply kit for at home, at work, at school and in your vehicle; Discuss and practice how to turn off electricity, water, heating, cooling systems and gas; Improvised Equipment that can be use during Disaster is encouraged for the students.

Voluntary Sector - refers to those sectors of Philippine society that organizes themselves into volunteers to take advocacy and action

CREATE A PLAN FOR THE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM - You need to first determine what your needs are, who will manage these volunteers, and what exactly their positions should be. • The first step should always be a needs assessment, where program staff and volunteer managers (who may be the same person) sit down and determine exactly what they need help with.

RECRUIT AND PLACE VOLUNTEERS - you should plan a recruitment strategy that brings staff members together into a volunteer recruitment team and utilizes a wide range of techniques for reaching out to people in the community.

ORIENT AND TRAIN VOLUNTEERS AND STAFF - Orienting and training helps get everyone on the same page and goes a long way towards ensuring a volunteer engagement is successful. From the beginning, its important to determine exactly what volunteers will need to know in order to be successful.

SUPERVISE AND RECOGNIZE VOLUNTEERS - In managing volunteers, you should always be conscious of the internal and external motivators for volunteers. To ensure that your volunteers stay happy (and come back), you should develop some sort of method for recognizing them.

EVALUATE THE VOLUNTEER - Evaluation is one step that many volunteer programs skip, but it’s essential for developing an effective program. Whether you utilize a printed or online survey, gathering information from volunteers about the quality of their experience and how they feel about it can help you identify problem areas.
