Lab reports should be written in third person.
Any abbreviations should be introduced the first time it is used.

Mention observations and results.
No numbers or data.
Introduction
Introduce the reader to the experiment or process being used. This should be aimed at a scientifically literate audience that has a basic familiarity with some chemistry (someone who has completed all of first year chemistry courses).
Brief history of method and minimum of one example and reference to method being used in literature.
Explain why the experiment is important and what it can tell us.
