Todays lecture - Who am I- how does this impact my interview - How is my standpoint - How to do I react- do I have an animated face - Semi-structured!- for our interview o Some questions- but fluidly o New question may be devised and asked on the spot. - Do not ask closed question- not allowed to discusses and not show true feelings. - Review questions- to not limit yourself. - Layer your questions. How was changing your life- jobs, relationships, education, change in socially. - Language barriers, children, bullying.- - How did it impact years from now - Active listening - Don’t make assumptions= they make an ass out of you. Good interview - Intro ur self - What the research is about - Who she is. - Thanks her for her time. - Better eye contact - Better open ended question. o A better understand of who the researcher is, and the participant. o Don’t be direct o Pace is different. o Critical approach- questions more deeply and futher. o Don’t get distracted o Culturally-eye contact o Tone o Non verbal cue- body language.
