1. “Gentlemen of the Jungle”
A short story by Jomo Kenyatta that uses animals to show how European colonizers took land and power from Africans. It teaches about injustice and colonialism.

2. Mau Mau Rebellion (1952–1960)
A violent fight by Kenyans (mostly the Kikuyu people) against British rule. It helped lead to Kenya’s independence in 1963.

3. Jomo Kenyatta
Kenya’s first president. He helped lead the country to independence and was a strong national leader, but was also criticized for being too powerful.

4. Daniel Arap Moi
Kenya’s second president (1978–2002). His rule was long and became corrupt. People protested and pushed for more democracy during his time.

5. Mwai Kibaki
President after Moi (2002–2013). He focused on the economy and introduced Vision 2030 to improve Kenya's future.

6. Uhuru Kenyatta
President from 2013 to 2022. He increased ties with China and built big projects like the Standard Gauge Railroad, but also raised Kenya’s debt.

7. William Ruto

8. Vision 2030

9. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)
When other countries (like China or the U.S.) spend money in Kenya to build things like roads, businesses, or factories. It helps the economy grow, but can also lead to debt or outside control.

10. Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)
A big Chinese project to build roads, railways, and trade routes around the world. Kenya joined it and got loans and help to build its Standard Gauge Railroad.

11. Standard Gauge Railroad (SGR)
A railway between Nairobi and Mombasa, built with Chinese loans and workers. It’s meant to improve trade and travel, but is also expensive for Kenya to repay.

12. East African Community (EAC)
A group of East African countries (including Kenya) that work together to improve trade and peace. It helps Kenya sell more products and grow its economy.

13. Kenya’s relationships with its neighbors
Kenya mostly has peaceful ties with neighbors like Uganda and Tanzania, though there are small border and trade issues. Kenya leads in the region because of its economy and politics.

14. International Monetary Fund (IMF)
A global group that gives loans and advice to countries like Kenya. Sometimes they make Kenya cut spending in ways that hurt the poor, so people don’t always like the IMF’s conditions.

15. World Bank
An international group that gives Kenya money for things like schools, health, and roads. Like the IMF, it also sets rules Kenya must follow to get the money.
