  • Slow to react to change - mechanistic - have to follow procedures before change

  • Lacks depth of expertise - people change projects a lot and aren’t specialist like in role culture

  • Hard to get economies of scale due to constant change

  • Hard to control workers

  • Depends on finances - bad if it gets political

  • Person - an organisation exists to serve the best interests of the individuals

  • Difficult to manage
